Germany: Cologne

Yesterday I got three postcards: one from Germany, one from the United Kingdom and one from France.

The card from Germany shows a view of Cologne. Cologne was founded by the Romans and in the 1st century AD it became a city as Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium. Later it became an important trade centre in the Holy Roman Empire. Today it is a centre of the sale of art works and a popular tourist destination. It is also the largest city of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth largest city in Germany.

Thank You very much Serena and Xenia!
