On Friday I got two postcards: one from Germany and one from the United Kingdom.
The card from Germany shows the Cologne Cathedral. The Cologne Cathedral is a Gothic cathedral and was built from 1248 to 1880. It is not only an architectural masterpiece but also an evidence for the strength of the Christianity in Germany. During World War II it was damaged, but already in 1956 it was opened again for believers and visitors. Today it is the most visited sight in Germany and the third highest church in the World. Since 1996 is the Cologne Cathedral on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
I got this card a few weeks ago in a cover.
